- Ensure platform scalability, performance, and security to handle sensitive health data in compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Integrate health data interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, and IHE to enable seamless data exchange with external systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and healthcare experts, to align technical solutions with user needs.
- Stay current with MediaWiki updates, extensions, and related technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platform.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with MediaWiki and its ecosystem, including installation, configuration, extension development, and customization.
- Expertise in MediaWiki’s full stack: PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, JavaScript, CSS, and templating systems.
- Proven track record of architecting and delivering scalable, high-performance web platforms.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth, and integration with external systems.
- Familiarity with health data interoperability standards, including FHIR, HL7, and IHE.
- Experience with secure data handling and compliance in regulated industries (healthcare experience preferred).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building consumer-facing applications, ideally in healthcare or wellness.
- Deep knowledge of implementing FHIR, HL7, or IHE in production environments.
- Contributions to open-source MediaWiki projects or related communities.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React) for enhancing MediaWiki interfaces.
